About the host team:

The Seattle Flying Dragon Boat Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN 26-2461227) dedicated to teaching people about the sport of dragon boating through the establishment of a friendly, vibrant, and inclusive community that celebrates fitness, outdoor watersports, and Asian cultures. By providing practices, coaching, equipment, and team building activities, we aim to foster amateur paddlers to participate in local, regional, national and international dragon boating competitions. Founded in 2008, we are a volunteer-run organization and have members of all ages, genders, abilities, and race/ethnicities. We practice year-round at our two practice locations in South Lake Union and the TI' awh-ah-dees Park in Kenmore. Our unofficial motto is "we can teach anyone to paddle!" and whether you're a novice or seasoned paddler, we invite you to join us!
